Birds can cause substantial damage to crops, orchards, and aquaculture facilities. The United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Wildlife Services has developed a series of guides to help producers prevent or reduce damage caused by blackbirds, starlings, cormorants, geese and ducks, hawks and owls, herons and egrets, sandhill cranes, vultures, and wild turkeys as well as provide information about bird dispersal techniques.
