Feral swine (Sus scrofa) can cause major habitat destruction, and once they establish in an area it is very hard to control them. Taking quick action to remove the animals is critically important in protecting agricultural land and natural habitats. If you have seen feral swine in Illinois, please report the sighting to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
